Lewiston votes to pass levy for funding

Lewiston residents voted March 13 in favor of the Lewiston School District’s supplemental levy.
This levy provides nearly 30 percent of the school district’s funding and is not affiliated with the cost of building the new high school, according to superintendent, Robert Donaldson.
The levy passed with an 81 percent approval rating.
“Speaking on behalf of the board of directors, we are very grateful for the level of support for the levy,” Donaldson said. “Eighty-one percent speaks volumes and shows that the community supports our public schools.”
