New 3-D printers for LHS library

Most people think that libraries are just for books but that isn’t the case anymore. Libraries are becoming more of a fun place for everyone to go to, not just people who enjoy reading. Recently the LHS Library won a grant for 3-D printers in January through the Idaho STEM
Project.

Kellie Pearson, the library Media Tech staff member, earned the grant for the school. It came in early January with $1,500 to spend, which went to another printer and the materials that go along with it.

The Idaho STEM Project is an organization that supports students and teachers in science, technology, engineering and math. In order to get this grant Kelli Pearson had to take a workshop to prove their skills.

The 3D printer gives students a chance to learn and build, plus have fun at the same time.
