Chandra Cornelia, LHS’ athletic secretary, worked at Lewiston High School for 20 years. She retired Sept. 7.
As the athletic secretary, she worked with the athletic director in scheduling meetings and games. She also greeted students and parents in the front office to help them with general questions.
She said she most enjoyed working with the excellent staff in the office and being able to help students every day. She recalled that her favorite time in her career was working alongside her husband, the previously retired Dave Cornelia, and when all of her kids attended the school. She liked being able to be around her family all the time.
She will be remembered for her quiet demeanor and always being a helpful person who people could go to.
