Lewiston High School’s band started the year off strong by marching in the Round-Up Parade Sept. 9.
Upcoming performances for LHS band and choir groups include the Pacific Northwest Marching Competition Oct. 14, an LHS Fall Jazz Concert Oct. 16, an LHS Fall Formal Concert Oct. 17, and the WSU Marching Band Championships Oct. 28.
“I am most excited for our marching band competitions and the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival this year,” band teacher Brendan Burns said. The jazz festival will be held April 20 in Moscow.
Burns shared that praiseworthy seniors in band include Savannah Bedard, Elizabeth Bieker, Hailey Brooks, Ella Bruck, Ryan Carper, Sayler Cotterell, Forrest Delka-Wicks, Matthew Dugdale, Keith Evans, Joseph Haddow, Diego Inzunza, Danaka King, Kai Klempel, Willow Mullen, Mateo Munoz, Riley Pennington, Carson Pickens, Ethan Sedgwick, Zachary Steadman, Avery Stevens, Jonathan Taylor, Logan Weigand, Cale Wilponen and Mykal York.
