The track and field team at LHS had very talented runners and throwers this season.
At the Rasmussen Invite on April 19 in Coeur d’ Alene, Noah Carpenter placed first in the 100-meter varsity final, according to Athletic Net. Carpenter also placed second in the 200-meter, and fourth in the 4×100, which he ran with Tanner Irwin, Brandon Bower and Nathan King.
Other impressive placings included Cole Arlint with first in javelin, Deegan Everett placing first in the long jump, and Grayden Johnson with second place in the high jump.
For the girls,Trinity Bonebrake earned third in the 800-meter, and Avery Lathen ended with fourth in the 100-meter.
The District I-II meet for 4A and 5A teams was May 9. Everett placed first in the triple jump event, second in long jump, and third in pole vault. Mara Kessinger placed first in discus, with Emmy Roberts in fourth. Avery Lathen ended in first for the long jump.
