Lewiston volleyball goes all out pink against Lake City

Lewiston High School’s volleyball players held their Pink Game on Tuesday, Oct. 1, against the Lake City Timberwolves, at the LHS gym.

Pink games aim to raise awareness for breast cancer by encouraging fans to wear pink. Money earned from the match is donated to breast cancer research, according to The American Cancer Society.

The first game was at 4 p.m. between the JV2 team and Lake City. The winner of the game was Lake City, and the score was 1-2.

Next, JV played at 5:30 pm, and the game’s score was 1-2 won by Lake City.

Lastly, the varsity team played at 7 p.m., showing up in their pink warm up shirts to show their support with the crowd. The result of their game was Lewiston winning with a score of 3-1. In the 5A conference the LHS varsity team is ranked 3rd at this point in the season.
