The new LHS football stadium attracted local fans on Friday, Oct. 18, when the Bengals played against the Lake City Timberwolves at home. The Bengals beat Lake City 38-21 for their homecoming game.

The seating was full of spectators, and Bengals fans resorted to filling the away side and the fence line around the field.

Prior to the game, there was a family-friendly tailgate party featuring many LHS clubs including the Key Club and Link Crew. The clubs hosted various activities including cornhole and face painting. Principal Kevin Driskill told the students at the pep assembly earlier that day that he was looking forward to creating new traditions, such as tailgate parties before the games.

According to MaxPreps.com, the Bengals are ranked #5 in the Idaho Division 5A category. This gives the Bengals a fair chance at the state competition. Tomorrow night, Oct. 25, is also the Football Senior Night and will occur on the same field. The Bengals will play Lakeland High School at 7 p.m.
