Rachael Eastman, an art teacher at Sacajawea Middle School and a local artist, recently had her work installed in the Lewiston City Library.
The work created by Eastman is currently on both the first and second floor of the library, on display until mid-May for everyone to enjoy. Her pieces are unique and combine multiple parts of art into every creation, according to the Lewiston Library. The art collection includes different textures, colors, objects, and animals.
Along with this art show, Eastman will offer a workshop at the Lewiston City Library on the art of storytelling through collage. The workshop will be on Monday, April 14, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. If interested, registration is available on the library’s adult programs webpage.
Eastman earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Wyoming and completed her Master’s Degree in Fine Art from the University of Idaho. She then went on to receive her teaching certificate. Eastman also runs her own studio, Raven Hammer Studio, located in Moscow.
