Current Lewiston High School Assistant Principal, Chad Arlint, will be taking on the role of Assistant Principal in Lake City High School, Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, at the beginning of the 2025-26 school year.
Following his 13th year as an assistant principal at LHS, Arlint decided that, as a new “empty nester” parent, the “timing worked out” to move to the open position at LCHS.
In this new position, Arlint wants to “encourage students and teachers to grow and develop,” as it will also allow him to do so.
“I also look forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge with the admin and staff at LCHS,” Arlint said.
Arlint is most excited about building relationships with new staff and students, as well as learning what other districts are implementing to improve student success.
He would like his successor to recognize that “Bengal pride runs deep,” he said. He hopes the new hire will be able to see the importance of support staff, such as counselors, secretaries, librarians, the School Resource Officer, instructional assistants, custodians, and cooks. They all help with fostering a fantastic school and resilient, successful students, Arlint said.
He added that it’s important to him to appreciate those who continuously show up at school despite their struggles, giving their best every day.
“The LHS staff and students are amazing and do great things daily,” Arlint said. “It is not easy to move, but change can be a good thing.”
He shared these words of advice for LHS students and staff:
“Be good. Do good.”
