In response to the Feb. 14 school shooting in Parkland, Florida, the staff of The Bengal’s Purr made a group decision to exclude the names of any school shooters in our publications.
As a whole, we believe these people do not deserve the publicity they currently receive from mass media. We are trying to be part of a change, to spread the message that these horrendous acts should not be rewarded with attention.
We honor those who were lost, and not the people who killed them.
