Northwest Summer 2018 Travel List

These travel lists have been one of my favorite things to write. This time, I covered Washington and Oregon. Each activity is routed from Lewiston.

Washington
46 minutes: Look at constellations at the WSU Planetarium in Pullman.
1 hour 10 minutes: Tucannon path located near the Tucannon River.
3 hours 1 minute: Gravity Hill in Prosser where cars reportedly roll uphill.
3 hours 48 minutes: Located in Grant County. Dry Falls is a beautiful waterfall off of Highway 17.
4 hours 16 minutes: Columbia River Gorge. The Columbia River Gorge is across the bridge from Rockford.
4 hours 16 minutes: Maryhill Museum and Stonehenge in Goldendale.
4 hours 22 minutes: Leavenworth. Don’t forget to check their website for information.
4 hours 31 minutes: Twin Falls, part of the South fork of the Snoqualmie River.
4 hours 36 minutes: Little Bandera Mountains off of Highway 90.
4 hours 43 minutes: Cedar Falls near Issaquah.
4 hours 49 minutes: Wallace Falls in Snohomish County.
4 hours 55 minutes: Snoqualmie Falls. The falls are located in Snoqualmie.
4 hours 56 minutes: Cougar Mountain Zoo in Issaquah.
4 hours 56 minutes: Treehouse Point in Issaquah.
5 hours: Mount Rainier National Park. Some of the entrances to the park are Nile or Lestler.
5 hours 9 minutes: Bridge of the Gods in Skamania County.
5 hours 14 minutes: Beacon Rock Trail near Stevenson off of the Evergreen Highway.
5 hours 15 minutes: Beacon Rock located in Skamania County.
5 hours 15 minutes: Seattle Aquarium on the coast of Seattle.
5 hours 15 minutes: UPS Waterfall Garden Park. The Waterfall Garden Park is located in Seattle.
5 hours 17 minutes: Seattle Center in Seattle. Check their website for events.
5 hours 19 minutes: Pikes Market in Seattle. There are many different things to do at Pike’s.
5 hours 19 minutes: Visit the stickiest site in Seattle; the Gum Wall.
5 hours 21 minutes: Space Needle in Seattle. You can ride an elevator to the top!
5 hours 21 minutes: Visit Gas Works Park in Seattle.
5 hours 23 minutes: While in Seattle, make a stop at Woodland Park Zoo.
5 hours 24 minutes: Surprise Lake located in Surprise.
5 hours 24 minutes: Visit the Fremont Troll under Aurora Bridge in Seattle.
5 hours 25 minutes: Alki Beach in Seattle.
5 hours 27 minutes: Lake Chelan. Lake Chelan is located in Chelan.
5 hours 28 minutes: Seahurst Park in Burien.
5 hours 35 minutes: The Reptile Zoo in Monroe.
5 hours 36 minutes: Falls Creek Falls in Skamania County.
5 hours 36 minutes: Lower Rock Creek Falls in Stevenson.
5 hours 41 minutes: Bridal Veil Falls in Gold Bar and Bridal Veil.
5 hours 42 minutes: Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma.
5 hours 44 minutes: North Cascades Scenic Highway that starts near Silver Star Mountain.
5 hours 45 minutes: Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge in Olympia.
5 hours 48 minutes: Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver.
5 hours 53 minutes: While in Olympia, visit Priest Point Park.
5 hours 57 minutes: Tumwater Falls Park in Tumwater. While you’re there, watch the salmon jump up the falls.
5 hours 58 minutes: Northwest Trek in Pierce County, Washington.
6 hours 7 minutes: Wolf Haven in Tenino.
6 hours 8 minutes: Goat Creek and Cathedral Falls in Glenoma.
6 hours 13 minutes: Sandstone Quarry Swimming Pool in Tenino.
6 hours 32 minutes: Mount Saint Helens Visitor Center is off of Highway 504 near Silver Lake.
6 hours 35 minutes: Ape Caves in Gifford Pinchot National Forest just to the south of Mount St. Helens.
6 hours 51 minutes: Olympic National Park. There are many entrances to the park in Forks or Quilcene.
6 hours 53 minutes: Ape Canyon on the southest shoulder of Mount Saint Helens.
7 hours 9 minutes: Go to the drive through Olympic Game Farm Zoo in Sequim.
7 hours 54 minutes: Cascade Pass near Chelan.
8 hours 2 minutes: Marymere Falls in Olympic National Forest.
8 hours 7 minutes: Iceberg Point on Lopez Island.
8 hours 25 minutes: Sol Duc Falls in Clallam County.
8 hours 27 minutes: Olympic Hot Springs in Olympic National Park near Elwha.
9 hours 14 minutes: Cape Flattery Peninsula on the Makah Indian Reservoir.

Oregon
4 hours 2 minutes: Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Baker.
5 hours 13 minutes: Visit the Oneonta Gorge.
5 hours 31 minutes: Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.
5 hours 37 minutes: Lost Lake in Hood River County.
5 hours 38 minutes: Latourell Falls, Corbett.
5 hours 39 minutes: The Grotto situated in the Madison South district of Portland.
5 hours 50 minutes: Portland Troll Bridge in Portland (Don’t forget your money!)

6 hours 56 minutes: Bagby Hot Spring in Mount Hood National Forest.
7 hours 1 minute: Lava River Cave near Bend.
7 hours 8 minutes: Lava Cast Forest, La Pine.
7 hours 19 minutes: Tillamook Rock Lighthouse Columbarium on the coast of Seaside.
7 hours 24 minutes: While in Astoria, visit the Columbia River Maritime Museum.
7 hours 25 minutes: Goonie Trails in Astoria.
7 hours 27 minutes: Twin Rocks in Rockaway Beach.
7 hours 29 minutes: Octopus Tree of Oregon in Tillamook.
7 hours 29 minutes: Visit Haystack Rock located in Cannon Beach.

10 hours 29 minutes: Next to Siskiyou National Forest, visit Out’n’About Treehouse Treesort in Cave Junction.
11 hours 12 minutes: The Wreck of the Mary D. Hume, Gold Beach.
