Throne brings in charity gold
For the past 25 years, LHS and CHS have combined efforts into raising large amounts of money for multiple different fundraisers in support of Golden Throne.
Every year the ASB presidents and fellow officers from both schools meet up to discuss their ideas surrounding fundraising for the Golden Throne. Clarkston’s ASB president, Hannah Winter, and Lewiston’s ASB president, Drew Fenter, and their following team collectively decided on which fundraisers they would be donating to this year.
After immense thought and plenty of wonderful ideas, they decided on Boys and Girls Club, CASA, Lewis-Clark Animal Shelter, Joey’s Blankets of Courage, Strength and Hope, and LUCC.
The Boys and Girls Club is a shelter/ safe place for millions of kids and teens. The club provides many ways to learn essential skills, make friends and have fun.
CASA is Court Appointed Special Advocates for children who experience neglect and abuse.
Lewis-Clark Animal Shelter is the local animal shelter in the community where dogs and cats can be adopted and rescued.
Joey’s Blankets of Courage, Strength and Hope’s goal is to bring comfort to those that are going through treatment for various types of cancer.
LUCC stands for Lynch Up to Cure Cancer, a nonprofit organization that supports pancreatic cancer research.
The goal remains to raise more money than they did the following year, hopefully surpassing $10,000., according to LHS leaders.
