Golden Throne to raise money for local causes
Every year at this time, the executive members of the LHS and CHS ASB groups come together to choose local charities to support. These causes will receive donations raised through Golden Throne activities.
Jackson Baldwin Foundation: Jackson’s Pay It Forward Foundation assists families with children suffering from severe illness or injury. Since 2006, they have donated more than $1.1 million to 224 families locally and in surrounding areas.
Suicide Prevention of the Inland Northwest: Since 2003, their mission has been to spread awareness of suicide prevention, to reduce the stigma of suicide and mental health struggles, and to reduce suicide deaths.
Twin County United Way: Among its many services, TCUW helps children succeed at school and enter the workforce. Partnering with programs in Asotin and Nez Perce counties, they support physical and mental health education and accessibility, and help ease household financial struggles.
Sobotta Family: They may be the first family of basketball in the valley. At least 15 members of the past three generations played high school basketball, with many playing in college. Donations will help continue this legacy while supporting them in trying medical times.
