BPA students exhibit their skills
Business Professionals of America (BPA) is a student-led group that has been at Lewiston High School for more than 20 years. BPA members prepare for mock roleplays of real-life business experiences. Students participate in different categories that focus on the other parts of business. Patience Rose (11) created a business podcast to present to judges based on the topic given to her prior to a competition. Judges listened to the produced podcast; then Rose explained the production process and the behind-the-scenes that made her podcast.
Golden Steele, LHS BPA Advisor, enjoys giving students opportunities to experience different aspects of business while in high school. “BPA allows students to compete in business-related events that occur in real world scenarios that the students might not experience in the classroom,” Steele said.
Members of BPA enjoy traveling to compete with other students throughout Idaho. Competing keeps them motivated throughout the school year to keep them working hard to represent LHS.
