LHS cheer ends its season

Head Cheer Coach Heidi Hagen and Assistant Coaches Josh Rodgers and Sydnee Soderberg have finished coaching cheer for this season. This year, the stunt group routine qualified to state and the pom and sideline routines both scored higher than last year. At the District 1 and 2 state qualifier, all girl show, all girl stunt, and pom received first place, and sideline received second. Hagen thinks they will have a strong group of returning cheerleaders in the fall and hopes to help them become even better. “The goal is to get better every year and keep pushing to reach our full potential,” Hagen said. Her favorite part of the season was spending time with the members of the team. She hopes to continue to connect with the student body and lead her team to improve, but most of all, to have fun. “It takes all the athletes working together to accomplish our goals,” Hagen said, “They are a strong team that when faced with a challenge always shows up ready to give it their all.
