Environmental Conservation Club helps educate students on environmental issues
The Environmental Conservation Club’s first meeting occurred on Thursday, Sept. 22, in Kristin Delp’s room, LS108.
Upcoming club meeting schedules will occur every Tuesday at 2:30 in LS108. The club’s founding members include two students attending Lewiston High School: Maia Cuddy and Lauren Martin. Lauren Martin describes the club as a place where students can learn about environmental issues.
Martin states, “The idea behind [Environmental Conservation Club] is to educate students at the high school about important environmental issues, such as climate change, and make them aware of these situations. We want to give them an opportunity to help work out these problems in their own communities.”
