Recent letters between King Charles III and his sister, Princess Royal Anne, show that Charles intends to host a “royal rumble” between the two monarchs in London.
The showdown is based solely on a disagreement between the two about the naming of a tool shed north of Buckingham Palace. The initial plan was to name it after their late mother, Queen Elizabeth II. The tool shed is a hotly contested topic within the British royal family.
The King believes that the shed should be named after himself, having written to his sister:
“Dear sister, I truly believe that the tool shed located at 51°41’57.1”N 0°07’54.0”W, should be named after me, the awe-inspiring King Charles III. The idea of naming the shed after our late mother puts a burden on my soul.”
His sister responded:
“Dear Brother, I am appalled by your suggestion; I must respectfully decline the idea of having the tool shed named after you. It is important to remember that the naming of such structures should reflect the public’s opinion. I would encourage you to consider other names.”
The event is planned for Oct. 1 of this year in the center of the House of Commons, pending the approval of Speaker Lindsay Hoyle. Charles is classified in the heavyweight category, while his opponent, his sister, is classified as cruiserweight
