This year, LHS welcomes Darlene McCann as a sophomore and senior English teacher. McCann has been a teacher for the past 30 years, first at Culdesac and then at Sacajawea Junior High School.

She grew up in Weippe, Idaho, surrounded by the wilderness. 
  
 “In my summers I enjoy being outside as much as I can,” McCann said. She added that this year she completed a trail ride from Pierce to Powell. 
 
  McCann is excited to be part of the Lewiston High School community, and the spirit it inspires.
  
 “I’m really enjoying being at LHS — the staff and students have all been amazing,” McCann said.
