A: I hope to make people realize that (P.E.) is essential for children.
Q: What is your personal reason for picking this topic?

Q: Please share some of the most interesting facts that you have found regarding your project.
A: P.E. reduces the risk of childhood obesity, and P.E. can increase cognitive skills such as memorization and reading.
Halie Decius: Personal training
Q: Please describe your senior project and its effects on the community.
A: My project consists of opening the eyes of the people who choose personal trainers to what they are really paying for and what questions they should ask. [This is] to assure they are getting someone who knows what they are doing.
Q: What do you hope to accomplish with your senior project and paper?
A: I hope to grow my understanding and passion for this [field of] work.
Q: What is your personal reason for picking this topic?
A: I want to become a personal trainer and own my own gym.
Q: Please share some of the most interesting facts that you have found regarding your project.
A: It isn’t required to have hands on experience to become a personal trainer, and trainers don’t have to go to college and learn the material that is important to know in this field of work. Trainers only have to get a 50 percent on the test to become certified, and if they fail they are sent the answers in the mail, and have two weeks to redo it.
Q: How do you feel about the requirements to become a personal trainer?
A: A doctor would have to go through extensive training before being able to be certified. A personal trainer has a lot they need to know, just like doctors, including nutrition, medicine and the anatomy of the human body. Personal trainers manipulate bodies, and they should have the proper training to do that. People should know what they are getting into before hiring a personal trainer.
Q: Do you want to be a personal trainer? If so, how will you go about preparing for it?
A: Yes, I want to go to college in a nationally recognized program, and get a degree in the science of kinesiology.
