College visits planned

For students who are looking for information on colleges and scholarships, LHS counselors have many events planned for the upcoming months.
One such event is the sophomore trip to Lewis-Clark State College April 12 in Lewiston. A total of 400 sophomore students will be split into two groups, with one going to the campus at 8:15 a.m., and the other going at 10:30 a.m. The day will consist of meeting Soo Lee Bruce-Smith, Office of New Student Recruitment Director at LCSC, along with an enrollment presentation, a division session, and a tour of the campus. After the first group has gone through all of the rotations, those students will return to LHS, and group two will replace them.
In addition to the college trips, a number of scholarships are available, with amounts ranging from $400 in the Chrystal Becker Memorial Music Scholarship, to $12,000 in the State of Idaho Scholarships Governor’s Challenge. Additional information and applications can be found in the counseling center. Specific scholarship information can be found on the counselors’ web page, or on the counseling center’s Facebook page.
