The annual Battle of the Moms basketball game took place this year March 7 at Booth Hall.

This fun dispute was played by the moms of members of the boys and girls basketball teams, plus the wrestling moms. Both sets of moms gave a true effort in trying to win this game, but in the end it was the wrestling moms that came out on top. The score was an interesting factor in the game.

The score keepers experienced some “technical difficulties” and the score fluctuated. Sometimes the score differed from many scores such as: 37-198, 6-15, etc. This provided an entertaining, yet confusing game.

The children of the parents playing in the game were called the coaches. They gave insight to subs and to plays made on the court. Refs called a few fouls along with and many other different calls.

The LHS cheer team members also made their way into this game. The moms of the cheerleaders took time out of their day to learn the same cheers and even a halftime show routine, just like their girls. The players were able to watch the fun halftime performance along with the audience.

During the game, the “cheer moms” pumped up the crowd with chants such as, “You wish you were a Bengal,” and many others that the LHS cheerleaders perform during typical games.
