As of Feb. 10, no students or staff had COVID-19 at LHS. According to Superintendent Dr. Robert Donaldson, a total of three students and zero staff members are infected in the Lewiston School District. Since the beginning of the school year, Aug. 26, 15 LHS staff members as well as 74 students have returned from quarantine. The district totals since the beginning of the year is 171 students and 110 staff.
Donaldson holds the power to change the schools to different phases based on their COVID-19 numbers. In an email sent in December, he said the superintendent has the power to “rapidly exercise judgment and discretion to implement requirements and protocols based on current trends of the virus within the District.”
