Meet the new PE teacher

Jarred Hoskison is the new Men’s Athletic Performance) teacher at LHS as of this semester.

“I had a lot of good teachers when I was younger, and they were really good role models,” Hoskison said, adding that he wants to be a role model for students.

This is Hoskison’s first year of full-time teaching. With his other jobs in schools, he enjoyed teaching and watching people grow.

Hoskison hopes to bring positive energy, especially to the men’s weight-lifting program.

“I want to be there for the kids,” he said.

Outside of work, Hoskison enjoys fishing, hunting, spending time with his dog, working out and playing sports. He graduated from  Rochester High School in Washington and went to Washington State University for his bachelor’s degree in the science of kinesiology. He completed his Master of Arts in Teaching for Health and PE at the University of Cumberlands in Kentucky.
