Rivals unite to donate to numerous charities for Golden Throne

The Golden Throne is more than just a set of basketball games; it is an opportunity for two schools to come together across the river and do good as a community in the valley.

Both the Lewiston Bengals and the Clarkston Bantams have united once again this year to donate to several local charities. According to @lhsbengals’ Instagram post, the charities are Northwest Children’s Home Inc., Open Doorway, Bikers Against Child Abuse, and Jackson’s Pay It Forward Foundation.

According to the Northwest Children’s Home Inc. website, the organization implements a trauma-informed approach, fostering healing and cultivating resilience in children and families in need.

According to Open Doorway’s website, they are a non-profit that focuses on creating a safe space for both young and old to come and simply be. They serve over 100 students free lunch daily.

Bikers Against Child Abuse exists as a community of bikers who empower children to feel safe in the world they live in and stand ready to lend support.

According to Jackson’s Pay It Forward Foundation’s website, they assist families with children who have serious injuries or illnesses. They believe that “Paying It Forward” is very influential, and they encourage others to do the same.
