Jared Lee, 19, died July 22 from an auto accident, according to the Clarkston Police Department.

He attended his school years in Clarkston and graduated from Clarkston High School in 2017, where shop class was the highlight of his day. After graduating, Lee moved to Lewiston shortly after, he obtained jobs at Custom Coat and later Custom Weld, where he made the choice to enroll in the Kentucky Welding Institute for pipeline welding. He had made plans to attend in January 2019.

He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, shooting, mountain biking and critter wrangling, as well as climbing every tree he could get his hands on.

A lover of law enforcement, his friends and family described Lee as the “all ‘round American.”

Friends remember the way he loved to help others, without ever having to be asked. Olivia Bergen called him a lovable goofball who was either all in or all out —never an in-between.

In the summer of 2015, Jared wrote, “Wouldn’t have done it with anybody else, and wouldn’t take anything back.” Jared never regretted a day in his life, and loved his friends and family more than anything in this world.

Lee’s memorial service will be held at a later date for his friends and family.
