Wyatt Dreadfulwater is a 15-year-old student at LHS who is creative in many ways. He occupies his free time with composing
music, filming short movies, and especially writing short stories. One fateful day, Dreadfulwater woke and wrote a whole book
from his own dream. Most characters are inspired by his own family. The book is titled The End Of The World.
“A black hole comes to earth to destroy it… the main character and his family have to fight in order to survive,” Dreadfulwater said poetically. “But saving the world means losing everyone he loves.”
The main character, Thomas, lives with his brother Daniel and sister-in-law, Lucy, along with two pugs called Muffin and Waffles, who were inspired by the author’s own two pugs.
“So we started a tradition where if we ever get a pet, we name it after a food. We have a pit bull named Peanut and then a cat named Cupcake,” Dreadfulwater said.
The story begins with a normal day until the main character sees a tiny dot start to form near the moon over many days. As every day passes, it grows bigger and bigger until a black hole forms from the small dot.
Dreadfulwater published the book on Dec. 25, 2025. As of month of December, he has sold 12 paperbacks and three hardcovers, accumulating around $180. He also has more plans for the future, such as the next book he is writing, called Where the Sun Waits.
“It’s basically just a classic love story book,” said Dreadfulwater. “I was planning to do a
little video that explained the process through it in a grayscale video… It’s like flowers
and leaves falling. It’s like a cinematic scene.”
Dreadfulwater’s book, The End Of The World, is available on Amazon now.
