April 14 Distinguished Young Women competition hearkens to 1972 Junior Miss

In this picture of the smiling beauty, Martha Williams is being crowned by Senior Becky Wilson, the 1971 winner of LHS’ annual Junior Miss.
This week, on Saturday, April 14, LHS is hosting the “modified” version of Junior Miss called Distinguished Young Women. The 2018 Junior contestants are: Alexia Taylor, Ashlee Bachman, Kenzie Talbott, Savannah O’Brien, Adrianna Braun, Morgan Goodson, Emily Trigsted, Saebra Woods, Olivia Bergen, Lydia McRoberts and Lenita Sedgwick.
Tickets are $10 at the door and doors open at 6 p.m. in the LHS auditorium.
