Everyone has a favorite food; however, for LHS students the question remains: What is their favorite school lunch menu item?
Firstly, it’s important to thank all of the cafeteria staff. They are all so helpful and kind, and they don’t get enough appreciation!
In a recent survey, LHS students were asked to look over the menu and vote for their favorite item.
Chicken nuggets were one of the items with the fewest votes, likely due to their dry texture and, often, lack of flavor.
Next, mozzarella sticks, homemade chili, and chicken-fried steak were also low on the list. To make these better, they might just need more seasoning. The only other problem may be the extent to which they are cooked. Oftentimes, students’ mozzarella sticks and chicken-fried steak will be burnt to the point that they have to peel off chunks to make them edible.
Tied for third were the hamburger bar and spaghetti, which this writer thinks should be higher on the list.
Some of the more popular items were the toasted cheese sandwich, soft taco, and the pulled pork sandwich.
The most popular school lunches, according to the student poll, are orange chicken, Big Daddy pizza and the pepperoni ripper.
