Teacher of the year nominations open through March 22

Community members have until March 22 to send in nominations for the 2018-2019 awards for Lewiston’s Teacher of the Year.

In addition, nominations for Idaho’s Teacher of the Year awards will be due May 24. Lewiston winners are to be announced at the teachers’ back-to-school assembly at LHS Aug. 19.

After nominations close, a review committee will select the winners for Lewiston’s Overall Teacher of the Year, Outstanding Elementary Teacher of the Year and Outstanding Secondary Teacher of the Year.

The 2017-2018 Overall Teacher of the Year was Jill Ralstin, who teaches second grade at Camelot Elementary School.

Fellow teachers, school district employees, parents, students and the general public are welcome to complete and return a nomination form, available here.
