The Lewiston Bengal Cheerleaders finished their competitive season by sweeping nearly every event they participated in this spring.
The team finished third at the Idaho 5A state competition March 18 at the Idaho Ford Center in Nampa Idaho. The cheerleaders placed third in show overall. From the team, a five-person stunt group also placed third, with honors going to senior Dawson Murphy, juniors Josie Curtis, Sydnee Soderberg and Brittany Schumacher and sophomore Josilyn Watson. Coach Heidi Hagen also placed at state, being awarded coach of the year.
